Post 79 will have it's 2nd. Annual Yard Sale on Sept. 23rd. from 8 am to 5 pm. and Sat Sept. 24th from 8 am to 3 pm. We are still looking for items to be donated to be sold. ( No clothing, please) To donate, items can be dropped off at the Legion Hall, from 1 pm until 7 pm from Sept 19th through Sept 22nd. If you have no way to tranport the items or if they are too big, Call Claudia Bartow at 937-642-0703 to schedule a pick up of the items. 

2011 Armed Forces Day.

On Sept. 9, 2008, the traveling Viet Nam Wall came to Union County and set up at the fairgrounds. Here are a few pictures of the wall and some of the visitors.

On March 29th 2008, we will be renting the post building for a Poker Tournament. The prceeds will go to benefit the Chilhood Diabetes Organization. If you would like to participate as a player or volunteer please call Claudia Bartow at (937)642-0703. Food will be provided. 

SPECIAL EVENTS

On May 19th,2007, Armed Forces Day, the Union County Veterans Monument was unveiled and Dedicated. Below are some pictures of the event and of the monument.

At the regularly convened meeting on July 12th, the 2007 / 2008 officers were installed.

Rick Clark (left) was sworn in as the new Post Commander.

At the same meeting, the new officers of the Ladies Auxillory were also sworn in.

Also at the same meeting, Clarence Durbin, of Plain City received his 60 year membership certificate award. Well done Clarence!
